The park may have been idle for the winter, but not your Park management. With significant donations during the year, we're planning three major projects to make the park even more useful.
Look for name changes to the arenas! Just east of current Arena B (soon to be renamed Arena 1 West) we are building Arena 1 East of the same construction in the footprint of an eventual covered arena. The combined Arena 1 will measure 130 ft x 500 ft, providing great flexibility for subdividing as needed for activities and space for larger combined driving teams.
We’re adding 20 more Chinook-brand stalls near the current ones, giving us a total of 100 stalls to rent, all with available water and electricity.
Development of the Cross Country Competition Course is underway on adjacent 110 acres.
Galloping lanes are already cleared and permanent obstacles will be built this summer. An unrecognized horse trial is planned for this fall, with recognized events starting in 2014!
We’re building a new covered Visitors Station closer to parking and stalls so it's easier to register for day use, pay Park fees and find user information including what’s going on locally.
And we plan to put up Trail Signage to help people get around better.
And these are just some of the improvements we want to make. How about hooks and mirrors in the showers rooms? Bleachers for spectators? Panels for cattle and other uses? Manure wagons and a larger storage bunker to support growing events? And much more...
It’s up to you. Please give today and urge others to support the Park – it’s Like No Place Else!
